This is a picture story of 8-yr old Dustin who lives
with his grandmother Betty G. They accompanied a story on the children in their local Parrish, Florida area and their plight of having to endure that 2-hr bus ride every school day to attend the Gene Witt Elementary School in Bradenton, Florida, which is the closest elementary school for them to attend. It illustrated how 8-yr old Dustin and his grandmother Betty personally start off each school day at about 5:30am.  It's 5:30am and Betty starts her day by getting breakfast ready for her 2 grand children 8-yr old Dustin who rides the bus to Gene Witt Elementary School & his sister 3-yr old Danielle who drives to preschool every.  It's 5:45am and 8-yr old Dustin wipes the sleep from his eyes while his grandmother Betty gets him up to get ready for school, and prepare for his long 2-hr bus ride to Gene Witt Elementary School.  It's 5:45am and 8-yr old Dustin gets dressed while his grandmother Betty gets him up to get ready for school, and prepare for his long 2-hr bus ride to Gene Witt Elementary School.  It's about 6:00am & Betty combs her grandson's hair 8-yr old Dustin, helping him to wake up as he gets ready for school, and prepares for his long 2-hr bus ride to Gene Witt Elementary School.  It's about 6:05am & 8-yr old Dustin and after his grandmother brushed his hair, he brushes his teeth while getting ready for school and preparing for his long 2-hr bus ride to Gene Witt Elementary School.  It's about 6:15am and 8-yr old Dustin stretches & yawns while his grandmother Betty finishes her breakfast. They are watching the morning news and weather together while waiting for Dustin's school bus to pick him up for his long 2-hr ride to Gene Witt Elementary School.  It's about 6:20am and Betty get's her granddaughter 3-yr old Danielle ready for preschool while her brother 8-yr old Dustin get's to watch cartoons while waiting for the school bus and his 2-hr long ride to Gene Witt Elementary School.  It's about 6:25am and with the the morning sky reflecting in the window, Betty and her grandson 8-yr old Dustin, wait at their front door for the school bus which picks up Dustin and takes him for a long 2-hr ride to Gene Witt Elementary School.  It's about 6:30am & Betty waves to her grandson 8-yr old Dustin while he walks to the school bus that takes him on a long 2-hr ride to Gene Witt Elementary School.  It's 6:50am as a school bus stops to pickup yet another student as it heads west on St Rd 62 just east of Parrish, Florida as it heads towards Gene Witt Elementary School in Bradenton, Florida. |
